We are a world leader in the production of powered paragliders
POWAIR Group - textile aerodynamics, is the owner of the Dudek Paragliders brand, under which we have been making paragliders since 1995.
For over a dozen years, the Dudek company has been a world leader in the production of paramotor canopies.
Our products are used by the best pilots in the world, often breaking records or occupying top places in the world championships.
Recently, Dudek Paragliders has been vigorously expanding its expansion into free flying, hike&fly, acro and freestyle paragliding markets.
From the moment of establishing the product idea, we use the latest available technology. We define the wing shape using a dedicated canopy design tool.
We simulate the airflow around the canopy with a CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tool, which allows us to predict and optimize the performance and dynamic behavior of the wing.
We simulate the deformation of the canopy and stress distribution using the finite element method (FEM).
We run many iterations with this software before releasing each prototype. Then comes final design (CAD) and production process,
in which consecutive parts are cut with large-format laser cutters, up to precise sewing. All of these result in the exceptional quality of our products, for which the company is recognized all over the world.
In structural analysis, we cooperate with the laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanics of the Bydgoszcz University of Technology.

Towards green energy and defense
During almost 30 years of continuous paraglider production, we have accumulated extensive experience in the use of textiles to match the energy and the air.
We realized that products characterized by their durability and fine-tuned aerodynamics are being increasingly demanded for industrial applications.
Hence our decision to expand the production profile of the POWAIR group into two new areas:
1. Power kite airborne wind energy systems. We offer the highest quality and expert knowledge in structural sewing and aerodynamics of textile flying devices.
2. Equipment for the defense industry, in particular parachutes (from the small ones dedicated for flares through drones to the full-fledged cargo,
extraction, drogue and rescue parachutes), airbags (including drones), or windsocks.
We are expanding
At our current location in Kowalewo near Szubin, we employ over 200 employees/seamstresses experienced in sewing technically difficult products
for the aviation industry. We have 2 full-size laser cutters (1.8 × 12 m), over 100 single- and double-needle, light & heavy lockstitch,
as well as zig-zag sewing machines. We have signed long-term contracts with companies producing fabrics and rigging for aviation.
We cooperate with defense sector entities, such as the Air Force Institute of Technology in Warsaw or Military Aviation Works
No. 2 in Bydgoszcz (one of the largest aviation plants in Poland).
In the field of paraglider production, we are probably the currently largest company in Europe. And we don't stop there. In 2022,
we launched the first stage of construction of the new factory. A production hall with an area of 3,000 m2 with an office and
technical building of 650 m2 are being built on a 1-hectare plot, with the possibility of further expansion in the future.
The investment is located in an area several hundred meters away from the junction of the S5 expressway, conveniently connecting us
with almost any place in Europe from Warsaw, through Hamburg to Lisbon, or by sea via the port of Gdańsk, or by air via the cargo port in Poznań.
Thanks to the investment in the construction of the factory, we will improve the internal logistics in the company and speed up the production process,
which is expected by our customers from almost 50 markets around the world. It is also an opportunity to activate the development of
the region and the local labor market. As another important feature, the applied solutions will effectively minimize our impact on the environment.
